Highlights of IDC DX Korea Summit 2020

The IDC DX Korea Summit 2020 was held virtually via IDC Arena – IDC’s exclusive, intuitive, data-driven platform that maximizes engagement. It was attended by industry leaders like SAS Korea, ServiceNow Korea, and Nutanix Korea. Besides, it honored the achievements of this year’s digital champions from Korea.

Without a doubt, digital transformation (DX) across the globe has accelerated in the last 18 months. All industries are experiencing rapid digital disruption. However, DX continues to be reinvented with the launch of the second chapter of DX. To illustrate, Future Enterprise is the new standard. The Lineup for the IDC DX Korea Summit 2020

To start the event, IDC Korea’s Research Director, Han Eun-Seon, delivered a keynote address on Winning Today and Leading in the Next Normal. Afterwhich, SAS Korea’s Managing Director, Kim Keun-Tae, talked about Operationalizing Analytics to Accelerate Digital Transformation. Then, a dialogue between IDC Korea’s Sangjun Kwon and ServiceNow Korea’s Kim Gyuha happened. Specifically, they tackled securing business agility by strengthening digital capabilities.  Shortly after, Nutanix Korea’s Managing Director, Kim Jung Hoon discussed how companies can focus on key areas concerning DX.

Meanwhile, IDC Korea’s Taewoo Lee and KB Securities’ Park Junglim shed light on the CFO’s role in developing a customer-centric business model. In particular, they emphasized the role of digital technologies as a driver for innovation. Finally, SK Hynix’s Vice President for DT, Song Changrok, shared their leadership practices in the manufacturing industry.

Champions of the Digital Arena 

Although interest in digital transformation has built up over the past few years, COVID-19 has undeniably accelerated it.  The digital luminaries distinguished themselves from their peers through the disruptive application of digital technologies. Additionally,  they turned the global crisis into opportunities through DX. The biggest winner was SK Hynix as it bagged the Operating Model Master and Talent Accelerator Award. Moreover, it emerged as Korea’s Digital Transformer for 2020. In summary, the following companies also received distinctions: Samsung SDI, Kookmin Bank, and Hanhwa Total Petrochemical to name a few.  Indeed, the IDC DX Korea Summit 2020 showcased the stories of the digital champions in the country.
